NEWS: AWARD WINNING SENEGALESE FILMMAKER ‘ALAIN GOMIS’ SCREENS HIS MOVIE “FELICITE” FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NIGERIA AT THE NATIONAL FILM INSTITUTE, JOS 

Following the change of M.D of the NFC, positive changes have returned to the institute and one of the most notable change include the first public screening in Nigeria of the Senegalese filmmaker ‘Alain Gomis’ film “Felicite” 

Like the norm, this movie would have been screened in places like Lagos or Abuja but not this time fellas, JOSt JOS first. This clearly shows the progress of the NFC towards making Nigerian film industry especially the Jos based filmmakers; better. Kudos 

About the film

Félicité sings in a bar in Kinshasa. When her 14-year-old son has a motorcycle accident, she goes on a frantic search through the streets of Kinshasa, a world of music and dreams. And her path crosses that of Tabu.
It was screened today at the NFI and afterwards featured a masterclass on film making.
